Dana Oakes, BA, RRT-NPS. Mr. Oakes is currently an Educational Consultant and was formerly Director of Respiratory Care, VA Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; Educational Coordinator/Instructor, Respiratory Care Department, Children’s Hospital National Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; and Director of Clinical Education, Respiratory Care Program, Columbia Union College, Takoma Park, MD. Mr. Oakes has been in the Respiratory field for over 30 years and has over 14 years of teaching experience including one-, two-, and four-year advanced Respiratory Care programs.

Sean Shortall, RRT-NPS, RPFT. Sean is the Clinical Educator of Respiratory Medicine Department at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. He formerly worked as a respiratory care practitioner and critical care educator at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.   He has been in the Respiratory field for over 21 years, has co-authored several respiratory articles in national respiratory and nursing journals, and speaks frequently in the U.S. and Canada on Advances in Mechanical Ventilation.
